Niu Wenke is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the School of Design, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), where she also obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design.

Her research centers on the intersection of design, materials, technology, and ecology, with a particular focus on more-than-human design and nature-based systems. She explores how computational design, digital fabrication, and material experimentation can contribute to ecological restoration and create new forms of interaction between humans and non-human environments. Alongside ecological design, she is also interested in human-centered interaction, intelligent products, and visual communication, exploring how design can connect emerging technologies with everyday experiences.
